Isurus Product Terms
Product terms for hosted Isurus, Leafscale’s dedicated-tenant forge.
Effective date: 2 September 2026
Applicability
These Product Terms apply when you subscribe to or use hosted Isurus. They are incorporated into the Terms of Service. They are not a self-hosted license.
The service
Hosted Isurus is a dedicated, Leafscale-managed Isurus tenant: a private forge (Git, Mercurial, Fossil) with issues, PRs, CI/CD, releases, and documented related features. Leafscale operates the software and infrastructure. It is not self-hosted. It is not a shared multi-tenant application.
Subscription scope
- One production tenant per subscription.
- Instance size (CPU/RAM/disk as shown at checkout) plus seat count.
- Region chosen at checkout: tenant data and backups stay in that region.
- Monthly or annual as shown at checkout.
- An active user is a user account that authenticates at least once in a billing cycle. Service accounts, CI agents, and bots used only for automation do not count.
- Extra production tenants need extra subscriptions. Non-production extra tenants (staging/dev) are not included in the self-serve product unless Leafscale sells them separately.
Included
The subscription includes:
- Hosting
- Platform upgrades and patches
- Backups
- Monitoring
- Portal access
- Commercially reasonable support via portal tickets (email/phone as backup)
Not included
The subscription does not include:
- A published uptime SLA
- Professional-services SSO setup
- Self-host
- On-prem
- A custom MSA or SLA unless we have a separate written deal
Customer content
You own your repositories, issues, PRs, CI config, artifacts, and tenant user accounts. Leafscale uses them only to run the service. They are not mined, not used as AI training data, and not shown to other customers.
Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for user administration, access control, secrets, pipeline contents, and third-party integrations (OIDC/SAML, webhooks, registries). You are responsible for what your users run in CI.
Forge acceptable use
In addition to the company Terms of Service, you agree not to:
- Use the tenant as a competing public forge;
- Abuse CI or other resources beyond the instance;
- Distribute malware;
- Host unlawful content; or
- Break tenant isolation.
Leafscale may throttle or suspend the tenant for abuse that threatens the platform.
CI disclaimer
CI runs customer-defined jobs (.isurus-ci.yml, Docker/Incus/shell). Leafscale is not liable for damage from customer pipelines, third-party images, agent misconfiguration, leaked tokens, or admin error.
Integrations, external tools, and isu
Isurus APIs. Third-party or homegrown tools may use the REST API and related interfaces. Leafscale does not support those tools, does not warrant them, and is not liable for damage, data loss, leaked tokens, or outages they cause. API abuse remains an acceptable-use violation.
Bring-your-own CI. Included CI is the Isurus CI subsystem. Other CI/CD systems (webhooks, status checks, and similar) are not included and not supported. The same liability disclaimer applies.
isu (Isurus CLI). isu is the official companion client, royalty-free to download and use with an authorized tenant. It runs on the user’s machine and can clone, mutate, and script against local and remote repositories. It is provided “as is.” Leafscale is not liable for damage to a user’s local machine, local working copies, or repositories caused by isu, scripts wrapping it, or misuse of tokens it stores. Using isu is still using Isurus and is covered by these Product Terms (and the isu license for the binary). isu is not a substitute for a subscription and does not grant server access on its own.
Changes to size, seats, and region
Upgrades and seat increases are available through the customer portal as offered. Region is fixed for the term unless Leafscale agrees otherwise. For seat overage, Leafscale may bill for the overage, require a plan change, or suspend after notice.
Warranty
During a paid term, Leafscale warrants that the service will substantially conform to the documentation under normal use. The exclusive remedy is a fix or workaround, or a refund of the affected period. The 30-day first-charge Refund Policy still applies. Otherwise the service is provided “as is.” Leafscale will use commercially reasonable efforts for availability and support. There is no uptime percentage.
IP indemnity
Leafscale will defend claims that the Isurus service as delivered infringes intellectual property, provided you give prompt notice, give Leafscale control of the defense, and reasonably cooperate. You will defend claims arising from customer content, acceptable-use breach, pipelines, and combinations with third-party systems Leafscale did not supply.
Liability
The limitation of liability in the company Terms of Service applies. Leafscale is not liable for consequential damages. The CI and external-tool sections sit inside that cap.
Term, cancel, refund, export, and deletion
- Cancel: access continues through the end of the paid term, then a 30-day export window, then deletion.
- Non-payment: Leafscale may suspend after notice. If not cured, the same export-then-delete schedule applies.
- 30-day first-charge refund: access ends when the refund is issued, then a 14-day export window, then deletion.
The export window is for export only (read-only / clone / API), not production use. After the window, Leafscale has no duty to retain content. Backups age out on the same schedule.
Export tools are native git / hg / fossil clone, the API, and any export features shipped with the product. Leafscale does not promise a full VM download.
Open source
Isurus includes open-source components. Those licenses still apply to those components.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Sublicense the service;
- Copy product source except as allowed;
- Reverse engineer beyond what law allows; or
- Remove Leafscale or Isurus marks.
Order of documents
These Product Terms control over the company Terms of Service on Isurus-specific subjects. The Refund Policy controls over these Product Terms on refunds. Mandatory law and the Paddle Buyer Terms (payment) are unchanged.
